Lost Winter is proud to announce the release of Long Distance Journeys on August 28 2015 via Bandcamp.

For the members of Lost Winter inspiration for Long Distance Journeys came from different sources. Richard's music was influenced by the piano compositions of Francis MacDonald while Charlotte and her husband's first pregnancy provided a well of inspiration for her poetic lyrics.

Working largely on just a piano, accompanied by Charlotte Francis' beautiful vocals, Lost Winter wrote eight haunting and uplifting ballads that exist between The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Mount the Air by The Unthanks.

Lost Winter sincerely hope you like their debut album

Alternative Tracks

''Sometimes the best songs are the most simple, uncomplicated ones. Lost Winter understand this and are the kind of band who have the uncanny ability to create melodies and lyrics that hit that sweet spot time and time again. In a world where everything has to be intense, in your face, and hurtling along at 100mph it’s wonderful for an album to give you a feeling of being transported to wonderful place, where music tugs at the heartstrings''.
